Job Summary
Provide essential emergency and urgent care services to patients during overnight coverage, working alongside a skilled support team to establish protocols and workflows for the new after-hours service. Practice medicine at the highest level utilizing the clinic's full suite of diagnostics, digital radiology, and surgical suites. This role offers medical autonomy and supports the expansion of Mount Dora Veterinary Hospital's daytime general practice into a comprehensive care center. Candidates must be a licensed DVM in Florida with experience in ER cases and surgery, ready to join a collaborative environment with flexible scheduling options.
Required Qualifications
- DVM Licensed (or eligible) in Florida
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary Florida State License
- USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
- Experience or strong interest in emergency/urgent care
- Skilled in urgent care / ER cases and surgery
- Night Owl, a DVM who prefers working overnights
- Must be available for overnight coverage
- Must be able to work weekends
