Job Summary
Assemble under-dash harnesses, switch panels, and circuit boards while programming lights according to customer specifications. Troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry, test products for performance, and verify trucks are built per engineering drawings. Perform functionality checks on airhorns, sirens, light packages, flash patterns, and door locks. Identify and fix quality issues, communicate delays to management, and maintain a clean work area using hand and power tools. Requires reading specs, understanding layouts, and precise measurements. Must own common tools and meet physical demands including lifting 40 lbs and working in non-temperature-controlled environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Unrestricted CDL driver's license and clean driving record
- Must own and can use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, and screw guns
- Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
- Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 1-2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
- EVT / ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certifications)
- Strong technical performance record
- Any manufacturer certifications from prior employment (EONE, Pierce, etc.)
- Versed in fire pumps, valves, preferably foam systems and both 12 VDC and 120/240 VAC generators
