Job Summary
Maintain accurate logs, operate company vehicles in compliance with NYS traffic laws, and communicate regularly with dispatchers via radio or mobile phone. Confirm patient identity using ID bracelets before transport, ensure door-to-door pickup and drop-off, and secure clients within the vehicle per procedure. Operate GPS devices or maps, complete required paperwork, and maintain the highest levels of customer service while properly uniformed. Safely lift, carry, and balance up to 150 pounds without assistance and up to 300 pounds with assistance. Possess a valid NYS driver license on your person at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid NYS Driver License
- This license is to be on their person while on duty
- Be properly uniformed while on duty
- Possess and be able to read and understand a map and/or operate a global positioning system (GPS) device
- Must be able to safely lift, carry, and balance up to 150 pounds without assistance and up to 300 pounds with assistance
- Speak and understand the English language
- Properly operate a mobile phone and/or radio and communicate regularly with a dispatcher
- Observe and obey all NYS Vehicle and Traffic Laws
- Maintain the highest levels of customer service
- Patient identity must be confirmed prior to transport via a patient ID bracelet
- Ensure all clients are picked up and dropped off door-to-door and in a safe and appropriate manner
- Secure clients within the vehicle at all times as per current procedure
- Complete and submit all required paperwork
