Job Summary
Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of ambulance interiors, patient-care compartments, and high-touch surfaces. Safely handle areas contaminated by blood or bodily fluids while washing, waxing, and maintaining vehicle exteriors. Remove regulated waste, organize storage, and inspect vehicles for damage or cleanliness issues. Complete required documentation and respond to urgent turnaround requests. Follow OSHA and infection-control protocols while using proper PPE and chemicals. Maintain supplies and report missing items or equipment concerns. Work inside and outside in varying conditions, lifting equipment and entering confined spaces. Maintain a professional appearance and collaborate with EMTs, paramedics, and mechanics.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous vehicle detailing, janitorial, environmental services, healthcare, or ambulance-cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Ability to follow written procedures and infection-control protocols
- Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, stand, and work for extended periods
