Job Summary
Emergency Shelter Coordinator responsible for coordinating shelter intake, data collection, and case-management activities in collaboration with case managers; serves as liaison to partner agencies, conducts client outreach and linkage to services, facilitates job-readiness and financial-education programs, maintains files and program data, and monitors safety within the shelter. Strong emphasis on customer service, clear written and verbal communication, confidentiality, and ability to work with diverse homeless populations. Requires evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts; proficiency with MS Office; ability to operate in a fast-paced, confidential environment; CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain. Position pays $17.00 per hour and is based in Las Vegas, NV, working on-site at the Emergency Shelter with the CCSN organization.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One-year experience performing Customer Service or Social Service work is desirable or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Windows platform required
- Prior experience with the homeless population is a plus
- Bi-lingual is a plus
- CPR and First Aid Certification is a plus
- Have the ability to pass a criminal, drug-screening, and employment background check
