Emergency Services Technician

Provides direct patient care support in the Emergency Department at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI, including assisting with clinical tasks, patient monitoring, and coordination with the care team. Responsibilities include assisting with labs and radiology coordination to optimize turnaround times, taking vital signs, responding to patient needs and call lights, assisting with patient transfers, recording temperatures, pulses, respirations, blood pressure, weight, and fluid status, notifying the RN of significant findings, assisting physicians with calls/gynecology exams and specimen collection, collecting urine samples, room turnover, stocking supplies, answering phones, and performing routine cleaning. Requires High School diploma/GED (or equivalent), CNA or EMT certification, or current nursing student status; Basic Life Support certification is required; no prior experience required. Schedule includes part-time night shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with every other weekend/holiday rotation; location is Madison, Wisconsin.
