Job Summary
The Emergency Services Technician supports patient care in a pediatric emergency department, assisting in direct patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and utilizing nursing education to deliver care per hospital protocols. Key responsibilities include collaboration with the healthcare team to improve quality of care and patient experiences, educating patients and families, and ensuring ethical care for diverse backgrounds. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, relevant certification/licensure, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C or successful completion of EMT Training Course
- Current BLS Certification
- CNA, NA-R, or EMT required to obtain MA-P within a specified timeframe
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years preferred
Additional Requirements
- Mary Bridge Hospital and Yakima locations do not require the MA-P
