Job Summary
Provide direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse. Maintain an active, working knowledge of Credentialing Competencies required for Emergency Services Technicians while demonstrating effective communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff. Ensure accountability for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies. Prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while consistently demonstrating professionalism in appearance and conduct.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Basic medical terminology
- Computer familiarity
- Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children
- Oregon: Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required
- Washington: Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required
- Registered or Certified Nursing Assistant (RNA/CNA) required for employees who perform this job in the state of Washington (including those who float into the role)
- Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist required for employees who perform phlebotomy in the State of Washington (including those who float into the role)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children
- CNA, MA or EMT
