Job Summary
Contribute to a team-based approach to patient care, ensuring efficient and effective patient flow through the Emergency Department. Provide direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrate effective and professional communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff. Maintain responsibility and accountability for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies. Prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while holding current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children
- Basic medical terminology
- Computer familiarity
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Provider certification
- Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification
- Registered or Certified Nursing Assistant (RNA/CNA)
- Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist

- CNA, MA or EMT
