Job Summary
The Emergency Services Officer serves as the Incident Commander for all emergencies at the site, responsible for the safety of the site and personnel during an active emergency. This role involves providing medical treatments to employees and visitors, managing the emergency response team, and liaising with regulatory agencies and emergency organizations. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, with a bachelor's degree preferred, and relevant certifications along with significant experience in emergency response. Physical requirements include the ability to wear personal protective equipment and lift up to 50 lbs. This position operates under various physical and psychological demands, reflecting the hazards faced by firefighters.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years' experience in emergency response preferably in a pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environment
- State of Indiana Certification Firefighter I & II
- Hazmat Awareness, Operations, and Technician
- EMT - Basic
- Fire Officer Strategy and Tactics Instructor I
- Driver Operator
- NIMS (100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800)
