Job Summary
Emergency Services Officer for Blackwater and Daunia, Queensland, to support a coal mining client. Roles are DIDO or FIFO with a 7:7 roster, 12-hour day shifts. Key duties include site safety/SHMS compliance, responding to emergencies, inspecting equipment, managing stock of security, emergency response and medical consumables, drug & alcohol testing at shift change, maintaining records, participating in emergency drills, and contributing to the development and improvement of site security and medical services. Requires a wide range of licences and certifications (C and HR licences, QLD Security Licence, Coal Board Medical, immunisations, confined space and heights training, D&A testing, first aid, CPR, breathing apparatus, hazardous materials handling, fire and rescue operations) and 2-5 years FIFO/DIDO or similar emergency services experience.

- Provide Advanced First Aid HLTAID014 or equivalent
- Provide Advanced CPR & Oxygen Therapy HLTAID015 or equivalent
- Operate Breathing Apparatus Open Circuit PUAFIR207B or equivalent
- Identify, Detect and Monitor Hazardous Materials at an Incident - PUAFIR316 or equivalent
- Render Hazardous Material Incidents Safe PUAFIR324 or equivalent
- Undertake Road Crash Rescue PUASAR24A or equivalent
- Undertake Vertical Rescue PUASAR032A or equivalent
- Undertake Confined Space Rescue PUASAR025A or equivalent
- Conduct Fire Team Operations RIIERR201D or equivalent
- Respond to Local Emergencies and Incidents RIIERR302D or equivalent
- Certificate III Emergency Response or equivalent
- Experience: 2-5 years in FIFO/DIDO role (Desirable)
- 1-5 Years in a similar Emergency Services Officer role (Desirable)
- Physically fit and mentally prepared for remote field deployment
- Strong situational awareness and ability to work independently
- Flexible to work 12-hour shifts, Day shift, on an as rostered DIDO basis
- Flexibility with Roster with an approximate even time assignment
- Demonstrated operational experience within the fire and rescue industry, preferably in the resources sector, including hydrocarbons, mining, processing, or power, or in construction, maritime, defence, or aviation
