Job Summary
Conduct urgent patient care under supervision by performing treatments, collecting specimens, and managing equipment in an emergency or urgent care setting. Obtain vital signs, perform CPR and airway procedures, and assist with resuscitation while monitoring cardiac devices and specimen refrigerators. Provide activities of daily living including toileting, hygiene, and mobility assistance, and instruct patients on proper use of orthopedic devices. Coordinate patient flow, manage admission and discharge processes, and respond to call lights or patient requests. Maintain a safe environment by participating in safety checks, decontamination teams, and restraint protocols as directed. Complete all competency requirements and attend mandatory in-service training.
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification within 6 months from date of hire
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of patient care experience
- Heavy Work - Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
- Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, grasping, kneeling
- Frequent visual acuity (color, depth, perception), stooping, standing, repetitive motion, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Constant typing/clerical/dexterity, hearing, seeing/monitor/computer use, talking, walking, fit testing
- Occasional extreme temperatures, vibration, wet and/or humid, dust, gases, mists
- Frequent fumes, odors
- Constant noise
- Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- One year of patient care experience, preferred
