Emergency Room Technician - PRN

The Emergency Room Tech role supports physicians and nurses in the Emergency Center with patient care and equipment management. Responsibilities include documenting vital signs, performing phlebotomy and IV starts, conducting EKGs, transporting patients, monitoring with cardiac and vital sign monitors, performing Point of Care Testing, wound care, obtaining lab specimens, and documenting care. Tasks also cover urine drug screens/breathalyzer, assisting with physical exams and procedures, applying orthopedic splints and fitting crutches, maintaining clean patient care areas and equipment, stocking supplies, performing QC/lab testing, calibrations, proficiency testing, and ensuring policy compliance. The role requires interacting professionally with staff and patients, greeting and checking in patients, and maintaining relevant records. Education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 years ER experience or EMT-P experience; EMT certification and BLS are relevant certifications as noted.
