Job Summary
Document vital signs, perform phlebotomy and IV starts, and conduct point-of-care testing while assisting RNs and physicians with patient care and physical exams. Transport patients, apply orthopedic splints, and perform urine drug screens or breathalyzer tests. Maintain laboratory equipment, calibrate devices, and ensure clean, stocked patient care areas. Perform daily opening and closing duties, greet arriving patients, and document all procedures for compliance. Requires 1-3 years of ER or EMT-P experience, current EMT certification preferred, and BLS.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years' experience in an Emergency Room setting
- 1-3 years' experience as an Emergency Medical Technician EMT-P
- Current Emergency Medical Technician (or equivalent) certification
- BLS
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate/Licenses: Current Emergency Medical Technician (or equivalent) certification preferred
