Job Summary
Perform basic clinical procedures including log entry, EKG and rhythm interpretation, splint application, suture removal, and dressing changes. Coordinate clerical aspects of patient medical records and assist registered nurses with vital sign collections, telemetry reports, and alarm review. Prepare patient rooms by stocking supplies and disinfecting surfaces, while managing data collection for CMS, CIHQ, and CDPH regulatory agencies. Handle transfer documentation for Sonoma Valley Fire and Rescue Authority and patient accounting for missing coding. Maintain high service standards through AIDET, hourly rounding, and white board updates. Requires one year of hospital experience, BLS certification, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) yr experience in hospital setting/cardiac telemetry
- BLS
- Basic arrhythmia certification
- C N A certification recommended
- Able to assess, plan, implement and act independently in the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department
- Strong customer service skills
- High standards of quality and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high stress environment
- Ability to function with Microsoft Office product line and Midas
