Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• •Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months

• •Ability to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area

• •Ability to triage patient care by identifying, observing and documenting the physical needs of the patient and families
• •Ability to report changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse
• •Ability to perform wound care
• •Ability to perform splinting
• •Ability to perform EKG's
• •Ability to carry out multidisciplinary care plan for each patient
• •Ability to perform unit desk clerk functions when needed
• •Ability to obtain and maintain the integrity of specimens in accordance with policy and procedure, according to physician order
• •Ability to use two patient identifiers with proper labeling
• •Ability to perform Blood glucose monitoring
• •Ability to perform Urine and stoolSputumiStat testing
• •Ability to transport patients into and out of the department to other areas of the hospital for tests
• •Ability to transport medications to and from pharmacy and within the unit along with transporting blood products to and from Blood Bank
• •Ability to assist patients with daily activities including undressing and dressing as well as lifting and positioning them to complete certain procedures
• •Ability to transport non-controlled medications as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic and unit
• •Ability to coordinate relations between care providers, patients, and visitors
• •Ability to work in a clinical environment
• •Ability to satisfy all job specific obligations and comply with all organization policies and procedures
