Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the emergency department performing clinical interventions (splint application, Foley catheter insertion, blood glucose monitoring, vital signs, electrocardiograms, and intravenous insertion) under supervision of licensed staff; assist with patient transport; maintain clean, organized environment and adhere to infection control; communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team; document care in the EMR; respond promptly to emergencies; use PPE and follow safety protocols; support unit operations with clerical tasks; collaborate with ancillary services to facilitate patient care; maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
Required Qualifications
- Technical School completion of Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant courses required
- Certified Nursing Assistant, certified Basic EMT, certified Phlebotomist, or certified Medical Assistant preferred
- 0-1 years of clinical experience required
