Job Summary
Assess patient pain regularly and perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers. Document care administration in patient medical records and respond promptly to patient requests while anticipating needs proactively. Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, follow-up measures, and lifestyle changes. This Emergency Room RN Weekend role at HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care using established nursing models. Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, maintain an active license, and obtain Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications within 30 and 90 days of employment start date, respectively.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
