Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the 26-bed Emergency Department, maintaining professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while working a part-time night shift from 6:30pm to 7:00am with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Supported by patient care techs, paramedics, and patient support associates, you will uphold Mercy Service Standards while ensuring comprehensive coverage for our community 24/7.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (or compact license)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification (or within 30 days)
- Unit-specific certifications
- Experience as an RN in the Emergency Department
- Availability for part-time work (24 hrs/week)
- Availability for night shift (6:30pm - 7:0am)
- Ability to work in a 26-bed Emergency Department
- Ability to maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
- Ability to coordinate patient care with other departments
- Ability to utilize the nursing process to provide patient care
- Ability to maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care
- Ability to evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
- Ability to perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards
