Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the 26-bed Emergency Department, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers while working a part-time night shift from 6:30pm to 7:00am with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Supported by patient care techs, paramedics, and patient support associates, you will deliver services consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires current RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (or compact license)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification (or within 30 days)
- Unit-specific certifications
- Experience as an RN in the Emergency Department
- Ability to work part-time 24 hours per week
- Availability for night shifts (6:30pm - 7:00am)
- Ability to work in a 26-bed Emergency Department
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
