Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in a 26-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Maintain professional accountability and coordinate care with other departments, supported by patient care techs, paramedics, and patient support associates. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers while adhering to Mercy Service Standards. Requires current RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and experience in emergency settings.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (or compact license)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification (or within 30 days)
- unit-specific certifications
- Experience as an RN in an Emergency Department
- Availability for night shifts (6:30pm - 7:00am)
- Ability to work part-time schedule (24 hrs/week)
- Ability to work weekend shifts (implied by 'Weekend Option Differential' and 'serving our community 24/7')
