Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse opening at Medical City Plano. The RN coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in the ER, collaborating with medical providers and the care team, and using nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. Responsibilities include assessing pain, performing procedures, documenting care in the medical record, promptly responding to patient needs, and educating patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, follow-up, and healthy lifestyle changes. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, and certification prerequisites such as ACLS, BCLS, PALS within specified timelines. Emergency ER experience of 1+ year is required. Required Qualifications
- RN (Registered Nurse)
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- ACLS Instructor/Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- 1+ year of RN ER experience required
