Job Summary
ER RN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department, coordinates and delivers nursing care, assesses patient pain and reassess after interventions, performs procedures and documents care in the patient record, teaches patients and families about the condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures, and prepares patients for self-management. Requires active RN license (state or compact) and current BCLS/ACLS within specified timeframes; typically requires Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma, with Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
