Job Summary
Complete patient triage, discharge, and medication management for minor to acutely ill patients in a free-standing outpatient facility. Perform accurate EKGs, cardiac monitoring, wound care, splinting, and dressing applications while inputting discharge instructions into computer software. Prepare procedures including I&D, sutures, and lumbar punctures per organizational protocols. Input patient records, support the Facility Leader and Nurse Operations Manager, and adhere to information security policies. Work independently in a fast-paced environment with up to 12-hour shifts, including occasional travel to multiple clinic locations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- A minimum of 3+ years' recent experience in a Critical Care Setting (ICU) with a minimum of two years in an Emergency Room, Emergency Department (hospital, free standing)
- Active Florida RN License or compact RN license with authorization to practice in Florida
- Must convert to Florida license within 60 days of hire
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
- Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility
- Advanced English is required
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences)
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment
- Subject to exposure to hazardous material
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in ER setting (hospital, freestanding) highly preferred
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred
