Emergency Room Manager

Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring safe and efficient patient care delivery while managing staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and retention of ED nursing staff. Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and hospital policies. Monitor financial performance and support responsible budget management, recommending appropriate staffing levels based on patient volume and acuity. Lead orientation, education, and ongoing professional development for ED staff, serving as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and hospital leadership. Support performance management processes, including coaching, evaluation, and disciplinary actions when needed. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a 585+ bed Level I Trauma Center in Kansas City. Stable weekday schedule with no weekend requirement; comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage available.
