Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient transfer, maintaining thorough documentation and completing electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight. Perform daily base checks including narcotic counts, assist with pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance for radio, navigational, and visual observation activities, and conduct aircraft safety briefings. Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences while ensuring compliance with safety standards for self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
- NREMT-P certification in assigned area
Desired Qualifications
- Prior flight experience
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
