Emergency Response Paramedic

Emergency Response Paramedic for Special Events in the Bronx, NY. Responsibilities include assessing each call and applying progressive Paramedic protocols, utilizing medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction) and administering IV fluids to provide advanced care, communicating with patients and loved ones, leading the Paramedic team and scene management as needed, and driving the ambulance on 911 responses. Collaboration with allied health and public safety personnel is required, with opportunities to participate in community programs to maintain AMR image. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, NYS Paramedic Certification, NYC REMAC, State Driver’s License, BLS/ACLS/PALS, compliant driving record, ability to pass a Physical Agility Test, and some healthcare work experience.
