Job Summary
Paramedic responsibilities include assessing each call to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols; utilizing Paramedic skills on medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, IV fluids) to provide advanced medical care; communicating with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance; acting as Paramedic team leader and taking responsibility for scene and unit management; driving the ambulance on 911 responses; collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel; participating in community programs to maintain AMR image and build community relations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver’s License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
