Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while adhering to progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize advanced medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide patient care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader to manage scene and unit operations, and drive the ambulance for 911 responses. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain organizational image and establish strong local relations. Requires a State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification. Hourly range is $25.00 to $40.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
