Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses, act as team leader for scene and unit management, and communicate with patients and loved ones. Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires Kansas Paramedic certification, BLS and ACLS, and a compliant driving record. AMR delivers compassionate emergency and patient relocation services through Global Medical Response.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
Desired Qualifications
- PALS
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
