Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced care. Communicate with patients and loved ones, and act as team leader managing scene and unit operations. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. This full-time role requires Kansas Paramedic certification, BLS and ACLS, and a compliant driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
Desired Qualifications
- PALS
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
