Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced care. Communicate with patients and loved ones, act as team leader for scene and unit management, and drive the ambulance on 911 responses. Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel and participate in community programs to maintain AMR image. Requires State Paramedic License, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and physical agility test. Hourly wage is $37.04. AMR is part of Global Medical Response, delivering compassionate emergency and patient relocation services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
