Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and oxygen devices to provide advanced patient care. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Communicate with patients and loved ones to assure care is being given. Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Full-time 24-hour shift opportunities available. Starting at $20.50 per hour. Requires State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic, and a compliant driving record. Lifeguard Ambulance Service, part of Global Medical Response, delivers compassionate emergency and patient relocation services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS
- ACLS
- NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
