Job Summary
Respond to emergency scenes including fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, and hazardous material releases. Perform scene size-ups, relay information to dispatch and supervisors, and execute rescue procedures such as vehicle extrication and high-angle rescues. Conduct fire suppression using apparatus and extinguishers, manage spill containment, and administer treatment following established protocols. Provide triage during mass casualty incidents and execute standard security duties like unlocking doors, escorting visitors, and patrolling facilities. Prepare logs and reports as required while maintaining professional composure and courteous communication. Work Monday through Friday on second and third shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal certification requirements for EMR certification. EMR certification must be registered in Indiana.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Ability to be an effective team member.
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
- Courteous telephone manner.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
