Job Summary
Emergency Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) with Pulse Veterinary Specialists & Emergency: lead on clinical floor with high-level patient care, anesthesia assistance, radiography, CPR, ICU management, and collaboration with critical care specialists. Responsibilities include equipment usage and sterilization, IV catheter placement and drug dosing, assisting with advanced diagnostics (scopes, ultrasounds), managing hospitalized patients, and providing client education on home care and nutrition. Leadership duties include supervising Technologist Assistant team members and maintaining clear communication with Emergency DVMs, Lead Emergency RVT, and other departments. Compliance with SOPs and animal health laws; commitment to ongoing professional growth and contributing to an exceptional veterinary care team.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Animal Health Technology
- Previous RVT experience preferred, ideally in an Emergency or specialty setting
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate difficult or sensitive information professionally and empathetically
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Initiative to contribute to the growth and development of the Emergency team
- Intrinsic motivation for personal and professional growth
