Job Summary
Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician needed to join MedVet's fast-paced ER team. Responsibilities include recording organized rounds, evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing care, partnering with the patient care team on treatment plans and nursing concerns, providing client education on home care and medications, assisting DVM with patient assessment and procedures, monitoring hospitalized patients, inducing and monitoring anesthesia, performing in-house and sending-out lab work, and contributing to a collaborative clinical environment. Requires State Registered Veterinary Technician license and prior veterinary experience (emergency experience preferred). Schedule: Thurs-Sat 8:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.; compensation $28.25–$35.00/hour based on skillset and experience. Perks include comprehensive health benefits, 401k match, PTO, CE opportunities, and more.
Required Qualifications
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
- Prior veterinary experience required, previous emergency experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions)
- Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
