Job Summary
The Emergency Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care management of assigned patients, collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include using clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient health conditions, assessing and monitoring patients, and preventing complications. Required certifications include a current RN license, BLS, with ACLS and PALS certifications to be obtained shortly after hire. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to lift and carry patients, and the capacity to work in a dynamic environment with unpredictable workloads. Part-time hours consist of 48 hours per pay period, with shifts available during the day and night.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- TNCC certification within 12 months of hire
- Ability to successfully complete the general orientation
- Ability to successfully complete unit competency inventory/staff development plan
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language effectively
