Job Summary
Emergency Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department needs and standards of practice; collaborates with medical providers and care team; assesses and manages patient pain, documents care in medical records, and educates patients/families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures; responsibilities include teaching patients/families about health conditions and self-management post-discharge; requires active RN licensure, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and Trauma-related courses within specified timeframes. Required Qualifications
- RN license (state-specific)
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
