Job Summary
CDL-A equipped emergency-rail operations role involving remediating derailments with heavy equipment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading and safely transporting equipment, operating equipment at job site (if qualified), rerailing operations, track maintenance/repair, load transfer activities, crane setup and operations, rigging and winching during recovery, performing pre/post-trip inspections per DOT regs, ensuring load securement, participating in daily safety meetings, supporting recovery and maintenance projects, operating a range of heavy machinery (excavators, backhoes, loaders, cranes, grapple trucks, skid steers, etc.), and assisting with equipment assembly/disassembly and transport preparation. Requires responding to emergency dispatches, travel for projects, and adherence to safety policies. Per diem and company-paid lodging provided during travel; guaranteed 40 hours/week with potential overtime; direct hire with full-time benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Acceptable driving record
- Experience performing physical labor in construction, industrial, transportation, or related environments
- Ability to pass required training, qualification, and safety programs
- Willingness to respond to emergency callouts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Pre-Employment drug screen
- Background check
