Job Summary
Lead and manage the Emergency Preparedness & Response (EP&R) Unit within Arlington County DHS Public Health Division, overseeing operational, planning, logistics, finance, and administrative aspects of emergency preparedness programs. Collaborate with government and community partners to develop community-wide outbreak and public health emergency plans, staff trainings, and exercises for environmental health and homeland security threats. Coordinate Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteers and train staff to work with census tracts housing vulnerable populations to enhance resilience before disasters. This role requires strategic leadership to ensure effective readiness and response across the unit and its initiatives.
