Job Summary
Provide emergency response plans and coordinate the operational and logistical distribution of mass prophylaxis (SNS) to residents in anticipation of biological or chemical agent exposure. Develop, plan, and coordinate training exercises to mobilize assets for prophylactic measures following public health emergencies involving the Strategic National Stockpile and CHEMPACK. Coordinate planning activities with regional, state, and national agencies while providing training and education to local response partners regarding medication distribution plans. Execute and evaluate emergency plans through participation in local and state-sponsored drills, working with the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Office to ensure adequate staffing of distribution sites. Participate in activities and duties related to public health emergency events and deployments during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate HHS leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field such as health care, emergency response, public health or community emergency planning
- 3 years job related work experience
- Excellent computer, verbal and written communication, project management and organizational skills
- interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials
- Valid Driver License
