Emergency Patient Care Technician

Assist professional nursing staff and physicians with patient care duties including straight catheterization, specimen collection, splinting, suture setup, wound care, and transporting patients. Perform EKGs, draw blood, conduct eye irrigations, and maintain accurate charting while adhering to infection control policies and aseptic techniques. Collect vital signs, monitor patient data, and report condition changes to registered nurses. Participate in quality assurance monitoring through monthly chart audits and hourly rounding. Maintain patient privacy and safety during handling and transport. Requires current EMT licensure, active enrollment in the Paramedic Student program, and CPR certification.
