Job Summary
Emergency Mgmt & Safety Prog Mgr at MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA. Leads emergency preparedness standards, risk assessments, regulatory coordination, and safety program administration across system, regional, and local entities. Serves as Hospital Safety Officer, conducts facility inspections, investigates hazards, drives corrective actions to maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance, and supports disaster response as part of the Incident Management Team. Requires Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field, 3+ years in EM & Safety (hospital preferred), 2+ years healthcare, FEMA ICS 100-800 trainings, OSHA 30, HazWoper certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with discretion and confidentiality; availability to respond during non-standard hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field
- Minimum three (3) years of Emergency Management and Safety experience, preferably in a hospital environment
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant healthcare experience
- Completion of FEMA courses: ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300, ICS 400, IS 700, IS 800
- OSHA 30 (General Industry)
- Certification in Industrial/Occupational Safety and HazWoper or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
