Job Summary
Complete patient triage, discharge, and medication management in a free-standing outpatient emergency facility. Perform accurate splinting, dressing applications, wound care, and EKGs while recognizing arrhythmias. Execute procedure preparations for I&D, sutures, lumbar punctures, and chest tubes. Input discharge instructions and prescriptions into computer software and delegate duties to PCCs, lab, and radiology staff. Initiate Pre-MD evaluation orders and support the Facility Leader and Nurse Operations Manager. Work independently in a fast-paced environment, standing and walking up to 12-hour shifts with up to 30% travel to support clinic operations across the market.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- A minimum of 3+ years' recent experience in a Critical Care Setting (ICU) with a minimum of two years in an Emergency Room, Emergency Department (hospital, free standing)
- Active Florida RN License or compact RN license with authorization to practice in Florida
- Must convert to Florida license within 60 days of hire
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
- Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility
- Advanced English is required
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Occasionally (1-33% of time on the job)
- May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity. Not Applicable N/A

Desired Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in ER setting (hospital, freestanding) highly preferred
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred
