Emergency Medicine Physician - W2 or 1099

Emergency Medicine Physician role at a hospital in Devils Lake, ND. Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a 10,000-volume emergency department, including rapid patient assessments, triage, and development of treatment plans. Execute life-saving procedures such as endotracheal intubations, chest tube thoracostomy, needle decompression, cricothyrotomy, central and arterial line placement, and cardioversion/defibrillation. Manage critically ill patients (sepsis, stroke, MI, respiratory failure, hemorrhagic shock, trauma), order/interpret labs and imaging (labs, EKGs, X-rays, CT, ultrasound), and administer emergency medications. Collaborate with nursing staff, mid-level providers, and consultants, determine dispositions (discharge, admission, transfer, observation), and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR. Participate in quality improvement and serve as a resource for mid-level providers during peak hours. W2 or 1099 options available with competitive compensation and a sign-on bonus; full-time, 12-hour shifts (day/night/weekend rotations). Proficiency in emergency procedures and airway management expected.
