Job Summary
Emergency Medicine Physician and officer in the U.S. Army Reserve health care team; provide emergency medical care in community settings and serve when called upon, caring for diverse patients including Soldiers and their families; benefits include special pay, loan repayment, continuing education, retirement and insurance, along with officer privileges and leadership training; positions available worldwide. Requirements include MD/DO, U.S. medical license, board eligibility, GME internship, emergency medicine training, and age/residency qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy or foreign graduates with permanent certificate from ECFMG
- Current license to practice medicine in the United States (DC or PR acceptable)
- Eligibility for board certification
- Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
- Completion of a training program in emergency medicine
- Permanent U.S. residency
- Between 21 and 42 years of age
