Job Summary
Conduct emergency medicine coverage across two sites in Birmingham's West Jefferson County, including the new UAB Medical West hospital and a high-volume Hoover freestanding ED. Manage a mix of moderate-to-high acuity cases with an annual volume exceeding 80,000 visits, rotating between locations to balance patient flow and clinical challenge. Work solo or with APP support, providing approximately 2.0 to 2.5 patients per hour per shift, while utilizing Meditech EHR with a planned transition to Epic by 2027. Enjoy flexible scheduling of 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with meals provided during coverage.
