Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, including trauma, cardiac, neurologic, and respiratory emergencies. Perform emergency procedures to stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate care with hospitalists, specialists, and advanced practice providers. Interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory results, imaging, and EKGs while maintaining accurate documentation within the EMR system. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities to support continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Eligible for Alabama medical licensure
- Strong clinical and procedural skills in emergency care
