Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries, including performing emergency procedures to stabilize critically ill individuals. Manage trauma, cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, and other emergent conditions while coordinating care with hospitalists, specialists, and consulting physicians. Interpret diagnostic studies such as laboratory results, imaging, and EKGs, and maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities while providing compassionate, evidence-based emergency care in a team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Eligible for Alabama medical licensure
- Strong clinical and procedural skills in emergency care
- Open to both experienced physicians and graduating residents
