Job Summary
Emergency Medicine Physician needed to staff Centra’s network of 4 ERs in central Virginia (Lynchburg General, Bedford Memorial, Gretna Medical Center, Southside Community). Board-certified or board-eligible physicians will join an employed group with physician-heavy staffing, a varied practice across multiple settings, and a focus on equitable scheduling with months-long orientation, no solo site coverage, and a nocturnist program. Shifts include 10-hour blocks with a waterfall staffing approach, opportunities for days/evenings only (no night shifts), and a range of clinical duties across busy community trauma centers and a free-standing ED. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
